What is Doodlebag? 
Doodle Bag lets you create your own design on a fair trade, eco-bag. We're an online shop and design tool, through which you design an image for an eco-bag, T-shirt or anything else that we stock on the website and we print it!

How does Doodlebag work?
First choose whether to Create your own or Buy one of our products. To Create your own, pick your bag, t-shirt, or other gorgeous products and use our online design tool to add images, pictures and text to create your unique masterpiece. When you're happy with the results put it in your basket! If you want to use someone else's design, no worries, just buy the bag you like.
 
How did Doodlebag start?
We started Doodle Bag because many of our customers were asking us for a one-off printed eco-bag, to give as a birthday gift or as pure, exclusive bag art.  Some businesses just needed a handful of bags to give to their VIP clients or some wanted a few to promote their brand at an event.  It was difficult for us to achieve this through Bag It Don’t Bin It, which, due to more complex administrative systems, had a minimum print order run of 100 pieces.  So we set up Doodle Bag, which through its easy-to-use design tool and ordering system, enables people to have just one printed bag, and other bespoke printed stuff, without any fuss … and fast.

What printing technique do you use?
At our Eco-Print Factory, we have developed an excellent digital print method to accurately reproduce photographic images or designs, which includes shading or lots of colours onto eco-bags, whilst adhering to the products' natural characteristic. Digital printing is effective for both large and small print runs, and allows us to reproduce your designs quickly, precisely and in vibrant full-colour. Our prints are durable and versatile so you can use your bag again and again.

How should I take care of my print?
All our prints are vibrant, durable and long-lasting - they can be used for months on end with very little up-keep. However, due to the porous and light-coloured material of our eco-bags, you should be careful not to transfer stains or dyes from other fabrics onto them.

Why should I choose an eco-bag?
Often 'Bags for Life' are heavy duty plastic bags, which are fully printed. Because they're reusable, or simply dyed green, supermarkets label them as eco-friendly, but often the opposite true, as the manufacturing process is very environmentally damaging. As such, they're no more eco-friendly than your handbag! The same can be said of paper bags - their carbon footprint is very high and because their life span is so short, they're probably even less environmentally friendly than plastic! Our cotton and canvas eco-bags are made in ethical conditions and printed in our eco-friendly, zero-waste factory in Sheffield, UK. We are dedicated to our use of environmentally-friendly materials, inks and ethically-sourced products, along with our homegrown attitude. You can be sure that you're doing your bit for the environment when you purchase an eco-bag from us.

What is included in the price?
We print any design for the prices displayed on the site - we do not charge more for more intricate or large-scale designs, so you can get the best value whatever your artwork style. The only additional charge would be if your design was a two-sided print, where again we have a standard price displayed on the design tool page.

DESIGN TOOL

What size should my image be?
Any images that you upload should be a maximum of 700x700 pixels, and be of a high-resolution. If your images do not meet these requirements they may be distorted when they come to print, resulting in unsatisfactory quality or a delay in your order.

Will my image have a white background when printed?
No. Our digital prints are high-quality and any white border displayed on the design tool will not be present on the final product.

What does the 'Notes' tab do?
The 'Notes' tab on the left-hand menu allows you to add a note to us, about the printing of your design. Feel free to include any special request or queries that you may have, to ensure that your bag looks just how you want it.

Why is my design slightly off-centre on the screen?
Sometimes different web browsers display the artwork box slightly off-centre. This is nothing to worry about, as we will always print your design in the centre of the bag, unless it is obviously positioned otherwise. Feel free to add a 'Note' to your order, using the tab on the left of the design tool, to ensure that your artwork is placed as you intended.

Where can I get more help with the design tool?
You can click the 'Help' icon at the top of the design area for a brief explanation of each feature. If this doesn't answer your question, just pop us an e-mail using our contact form and we'll do our best to get you Doodling as soon as possible!

ORDERING INFORMATION 

How do I place my order?
First choose whether to Create your own or Buy one of our products. To Create your own, pick your bag, TeeShirt, or other gorgeous products and use our online design tool to add images, pictures and text to create your unique masterpiece. When you're happy with the results put it in your basket! If you want to use someone else's design. No worries, just Buy the bag you like. 

Do I need an account to place an order?
No. But an account will allow you:
- to store your contact details to save for next time
- give you the opportunity to stay informed of offers, new designs and developments
- track your order staus

How do I check my order status?
If you have a user account and were logged in when you placed your order, you can track your order status in your account. Login and click on the "Account" link on the top right-hand side of the page. You can find all orders you placed while logged in under the "My Orders" tab in your account.
If you don't have a Doodlebag user account, you can go to the Order Status page and enter your order number (not shipment number), email address, and post code. Make sure to enter this information as it was entered when the order was placed.

How do I cancel or change my order?
 We will only be able to make changes or cancel your order if your request is made before your order is processed. Depending on demand, we may or may not be able to cancel your order. Once your order is processed or shipped, no changes can be made.
If you need to change your order, cancel it and place it again.
To cancel your order, go to the Order Status page and enter your order number (not shipment number), email address, and post code.
Once you pull up your order, you'll be given the option to cancel if your order hasn't been processed yet. Your card or payment option will be reimbursed and you can go ahead and place another order.

Why was my order declined?
If your order is declined, you'll receive an email notification letting you know.
Your order could be declined for two reasons: if your item is out of stock or if there are billing issues with the information you entered. If your item is out of stock, we'll send you an email letting you know along with reimbursement for payment. If there's an issue with the billing, it's likely because your billing information didn't match the card that was used.

How do I contact Customer Services?
You can get in touch with us via our contact page. We'll respond as soon as possible. Our response time is 1-2 business days, sometimes faster!. If you haven't heard back from us after 2 business days, check your spam folder.

Do you accept International orders?
Yes. We ship orders to all over the world.

Can I place a phone or mail order?
We we don't accept phone or mail orders. Orders can only be placed online through our secure shopping cart.

How do I pay for an order?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. For your security no card information is stored with us

How does the currency conversion work for international orders?
All prices are in Pound Sterling (£GBP). Your card company will convert the total to your country's currency at the currency rate when it's processed.

What currency is used on the site?

When will my card be charged?
Your card is charged when your order is placed.

Is my credit card info secure?
Yes. We use Sage Pay who have an encrypted connection. We do not store your card details on our servers.

How do I open a Doodlebag account?
You can open a Doodlebag account by clicking on "My Account" at the top of the home page. You will be prompted to log in or register a new account. Enter in your username, password and email address.  You can also choose to join our newsletter  Once you submit your info, you'll be emailed an activation email. Follow the instructions in the email to activate your account. If you don't receive an email, check your spam folder and if nothing is there, contact our Customer Support and we can activate your account.

Can I cancel my user account?
Of course but we'll be sad to see you leave. Login to your account page and scroll to the bottom  to find the 'CancelYour Account' option.

What happens if I forget my username/password?
Go to "My Account" and you'll see "Forgot Your Password?". Submit your email address associated with your account and we'll send it to you.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY INFORMATION

How much is shipping?
We have various shipping options depending on your location and order quantity, which are detailed during the checkout process. Our current postage options are as follows:

UK Royal Mail (3 - 5 days) -  FREE
UPS Express Delivery - £12.00
Europe Royal Mail (1 - 2 weeks) - £4.00
Europe Fedex - £22.00
World Recorded (5-14 days) - £8.00
World Fedex - £30.00 

When will my order arrive?
We will print your bags within 3 working days of receiving the order and standard postage in the UK takes 1-3 days. We also offer a courier for £12.00, for express delivery in the UK. European orders typically take 1-2 weeks to arrive. Orders from the rest of the world take around 1-3 weeks. Please get in touch if you have any issues or special requirements, and we will do our best to help.

What can I do if I haven't received my order yet?
Please allow 7 working days from your order to delivery. If you have not received your order contact us

Why was I charged customs fees at delivery?
Any international order may incur a customs fee which isn't  charged by Doodlebag but your government.

Why has only part of my order shipped?
If your order contains items that are not in stock we will ship the items that are in stock first. When an item becomes available we will post at that date.

DESIGN SUBMISSIONS

Do I keep the rights to my artwork?
If we choose to print a design, the designer is giving us non-exclusive rights to print and sell it on bags and apparel. All other mediums are open for the designer to use the design. If you are using the Design Tool to create a one-off print, you retain all rights to your artwork - we simply print it for you!

Where can I view the terms and conditions for selling my designs?
We will agree the exact terms with you if you are successful, but here are our usual designer terms and conditions.
